Salah will play at the World Cup

Egypt are confident Mohamed Salah will be fit to play a full part in their World Cup campaign despite the Liverpool star's shoulder injury.

Mohamed Salah will be sidelined for no more than three weeks with the shoulder injury he sustained during Liverpool's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, the Egyptian Football Association has confirmed.

It was feared that the forward would be out for much longer after going down injured in a clash with Sergio Ramos.

However, while it has been said that his recuperation period will 'not exceed' three weeks, he could still be a doubt for Egypt's first game against Uruguay.

If that game does come too soon, Salah will likely make his tournament debut against the hosts, Russia.
